Guidelines for Media/Press Wishing to Attend ICI2016

Press registration will be provided free to members of the working press with appropriate press credentials, and to working freelance journalists who wish to attend ICI 2016. To register, individuals must send a copy of their letter of assignment  to taniaewing@taniaewing.com

Who is eligible for complimentary media passes:

  • Reporters, writers and producers as well as photographers and videographers with staff credentials from newspapers, magazines, online news services, wire services, and radio or television networks and stations
  • Freelancers with assignment letters from editors of established, verifiable media outlets (Letters of Assignment must appear on the publication’s official letterhead.)
  • Freelancers with at least one bylined article/report published online, in print, or broadcast by an established, verifiable media outlet during the six months prior to the meeting
  • Online news services or online outlets that provide daily or weekly coverage of health and science

All others must pay registration. It is up to the ICI Media Manager to determine an individual’s eligibility for press registration.

Those granted media credentials can pick up their badges and meeting information at the registration desk. This will allow you access to all scientific sessions, the exhibition area, press conference, the media room. It does not automatically provide access to ticketed events.

It is highly advisable that media register in advance of the congress providing staff credentials and/or assignment letters. This will allow you to receive media alerts and embargoed press releases prior to the Congress.

Embargo Guidelines

Please note that information regarding sessions of interest to the media, as well as press releases etc will be provided to registered media prior to the Congress. These will all be under strict embargoes which will be made clear on all documentation.
