“The law says I have 28 days for a refund” Sadly, this is actually a myth. Shops aren’t legally obliged to give you a refund unless the item is faulty. The law states that if you purchase and item and discover it’s faulty within 30-days, the retailer must give you a full refund.
Can I return an item if I am not happy with it?
Even though they don’t have to do it by law, lots of shops will say you can return items within 14 or sometimes even 30 days, as long they’re not used. You’ll stand a better chance if you take your receipt with you and return the item in its original packaging.
