*Only “household pet birds” (budgerigars, parakeets, parrots, finches, cockatiels, lovebirds or other domesticated pet birds) are permitted to enter Australia. Therefore, currently, only dogs, cats, rabbits, horses and certain species of birds from approved countries may be imported as pets.
