Cards Against Muggles – I Love It So Much!
I am such a big Harry Potter fan and love everything about those great books and movies. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since the last movie came out and 14 years since the last book! Me and my friends are always referencing aspects of the stories and the characters to each other, we just can’t get enough of it.
Then, to my amazement, I saw a Harry Potter board game on the internet called, Cards Against Muggles. I found this website called ‘Pick.Cards’, who were selling this game. And, after reading the hilarious samples and great reviews, I knew I had to buy it.
Well, my instinct was correct, I have been playing this card game ever since it arrived and It is an absolute scream! I have had a couple of party nights with my friends, already, and it was a great success. We all grew up on these memorable characters, like Harry, Ron, Hermione, Professor Dumbledore, Hagrid and Dobby, but they have been put into scenarios which are outrageously funny and rude.
This Harry Potter board game is very easy to play, if you already know the rules to the original adult card game, Cards Against Humanity. Cards Against Muggles plays the same way with question and answer cards and the funniest / rudest combination wins. This set comes with 1,440 cards (990 black cards and 450 white) so the combinations are endless. This Harry Potter board game can go on for hours with so many cards in the box.
I have had wonderful nights with my friends as we enjoy watching some of the movies again while having beer and pizza then break out the Cards Against Muggles for a couple of hours of hysterical laughter. But make sure you only play this with people who have a broad sense of humor and are not easily embarrassed – definitely no children! The box even says “Only for those 17 and up”.
Just from these samples, you can see why:
“Any problem can be solved by____” “An old grumpy wizard that refuses to wear pants”.
“What is a hunter’s best friend?” “Real dragon dildos”
“Filch has finally banned ___ from the halls of Hogwarts” “Organizing a ring of shapeshifters to have orgies with yourself”
As you can see, this is not for the easily offended, but for the rest of us, it’s a riot! I must admit, at first, it did seem strange to be reading out all these highly inappropriate statements about my most cherished childhood characters but I quickly got used to it and now it’s just great to play.
But this is a proper box set of cards and not one of those digital versions you see on the internet. This one, from Pick. Cards, is a very nice physical set, which is why it costs more than those others too. But definitely worth it as you and your friends will love it just as much as I did.
This is the best gift any Potterhead can buy themselves right now. Don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself.
