What happens if I drove on CityLink without an ETAG?

If you travel on a toll road without a tag, a photograph of your licence plate number is taken and then checked against our records. If you have a correctly installed and functioning tag, our systems will automatically match your toll road travel to your account. You will not be charged a no tag in vehicle fee.

How do I find my Linkt tag number?

Your tag number is the unique 10 to 12-digit serial number printed on your tag device. To find a list of all your tag numbers, log in to your account and select Tags from the menu. If you want to transfer a toll invoice or notice to your account, you’ll need your tag number.

How do I find my Linkt account?

You can check your account balance online or via the Linkt app. Once you’ve logged in, your account balance is displayed at the top of the page. Log in to your account. Your account balance is available from the My account screen.

Can I use my CityLink ETAG in another car?

Yes you can. A tag can be moved between vehicles as long as all vehicles are: in the same vehicle class (Car, Light Commercial Vehicle or Heavy Commercial Vehicle)

What happens if you dont have an e tag?

If you choose not to set up a Tag or Pass product, the trip will become eligible for a Toll Notice. Repeated failure to respond to and pay a Toll Notice may result in a penalty notice sent to the registered owner and the matter being referred to Revenue NSW.

What do you do if you have no e tag?

By becoming Linkt, E-way customers will benefit from some lower fees, more flexible payment options and a better digital experience when managing their account online.

How do I log into my ETAG account?

LOGIN TO MY ACCOUNT For account holders, enter your E-Toll Account number or Email Address followed by your online password. For Authorised Representatives, enter the E-Toll Account number followed by -1 or -2 and your online password.

Can two cars use one ETAG?

No. You can only use one Tag in a vehicle at any one time. You must ensure you add / link your licence plate number to your Account. If you have multiple tags, make sure you only use one tag in a vehicle at any one time or you may be charged twice (or multiple times) for each trip.

Can I transfer my ETAG to another person?

If you want to give one or 2 additional people (authorised representative/s) access to your Transport for NSW E-Toll Account, you can do this online.

How do I get an ETAG?

How do I connect my ETAG to my car?

Log on to your account and click on the ‘Manage my Account’ option and select ‘Tags and Vehicles’. You can then view all of the vehicles linked to your Account then add, edit or delete vehicles/Licence Plates. You can also add or remove vehicles/Licence Plates from your Account by calling 13 18 65.

How long do ETAG batteries last?

The life of the battery in an e-TAG transponder is approximately 5 years. Customers are advised when a device is about to expire and to contact the issuer should their e-TAG not beep as they pass a tolling gantry, to receive a replacement device.

A Linkt Everyday or Commercial account covers you for travel on all toll roads in Australia, including Sydney’s Linkt network. If you travel on a Sydney toll road without an account or pass, you can pay for your travel by buying a pass within 5 days of your first trip.

How can I avoid car matching fees?
