With the Direct Deposit Program your pension check is deposited directly into your bank account on the first business day of every month. Safe and More Secure – Paper checks can be lost in the mail, stolen or delivered to the wrong address. Direct deposit avoids these fees.

How do I set up direct deposit for my pension?

Start or change direct deposit

  1. Sign in to your online account. Go to OPM Retirement Services Online.
  2. Click Direct Deposit in the menu. If you already have direct deposit active, you will see a summary of your account information.
  3. Click Change to start a new direct deposit or to change an existing direct deposit.
