Your driver licence will be suspended if you ignore an enforcement order from the State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER). We can suspend your driver licence for any type of debt, not just those related to vehicle offences.

Phone. Call 1300 365 635 (or +61 7 3328 4811 from outside Australia) during office hours. Before we give you any information about your debt, you will be asked to confirm your identity, so please have this information handy: party ID (found on your SPER notice)

Is there GST on SPER fines?
Are traffic and parking fines subject to GST? A statutory fine or penalty is not subject to GST as there is no supply made in relation to the payment.

What happens if I miss a payment on my Sper?
If you are having trouble making the payments on your plan, you can reschedule your payments online or by phoning us at least 1 day before payment is due to discuss your options. If you miss a payment, your plan will be cancelled and we may not agree to another. You will also be open to enforcement action.

If we’ve suspended your driver licence, we’ll lift our suspension once you pay. It usually only takes about 5 minutes for our suspension to be lifted.

Suspension on full pay is not a punishment, but part of the investigation process in a disciplinary procedure for many employers. Your employer should give you a clear reason for the suspension and explain what other options have been explored instead of suspension.
