To renew your licence in person, you can visit a transport and motoring customer service centre. If you are renewing your learner, provisional or open licence, check your driver licence renewal notice to see if you can do this online. If you live in a remote area, you may be able to renew your licence by mail.

Do pensioners get a discount on drivers licence in Qld?

Currently in Queensland, holders of a Queensland Seniors Card are not eligible for any concessions on driver licence fees. The LNP will halve the cost of licences for seniors. Our discount will see driver licence fees range from around $36 to $82 as opposed to the existing fees under Labor which could cost up to $165.

Can I renew my Qld drivers license early?

If you are travelling or temporarily residing interstate or overseas, you may be able to renew your Queensland driver licence by mail. You can do this up to 6 weeks before your licence expires. You can also renew your licence online, check to see if you can use this service.

    How do I switch my automatic licence to manual in Qld?

    You just need to be test ready in the manual. You will not lose your current licence if you do happen to fail. You will still need to sit a 30 minute practical manual driving test with someone from Queensland Transport. They do not supply you with a manual car.
